New Cooper winter tyres offer exceptional performance
Cooper Tire has introduced its latest high-performance tyres for winter motoring, the WM-SA2 and WM-ST3.
Benefiting from the latest state-of-the-art production technology, the newest members of Cooper’s high-performance family are designed to offer firm footing on snow and slush.
The new WM-SA2’s Tapered Alternating Groove (TAG) Technology and forward-facing shoulder grooves greatly enhance braking ability, while its backward-facing centre groove improves traction.
As winter motoring conditions in the UK get increasingly unpredictable and winter tyre sales rise, Cooper’s latest offering – benchmarked against leading brands and developed in Europe – is a timely addition to its performance winter tyre line, and is ideally suited to the UK’s winter weather.
To complement the introduction of the WM-SA2, Cooper has also launched the WM-ST3, a more extreme winter tyre dedicated to achieving exceptional grip in ice and snow. It achieves this through its intelligent stud placement, which optimises ice traction by boosting the number of stud channels through the contact patch.
Meanwhile, Cooper’s cutting-edge nano polymer technology enhances wet, snow and ice grip at low temperatures without sacrificing tread wear, and provides the WM-ST3 with predictable and precise handling characteristics.
Both new tyres benefit from an advanced directional tread pattern for improved traction and are also made in accordance with current and future EU regulations, using cleaner oil and offering low rolling resistance – for lower fuel consumption – and less noise.
The WM-SA2 and WM-ST3 are T-rated and offered in a variety of sizes ranging from 13 to 16-inch rim sizes, including many extra load fitments.
